February 16: Heritage Ottawa's seventh annual Bob and Mary Anne Phillips memorial lecture: full circle: conservation and "adaptive use" in restoring the Jeanne D'arc Institute on Sussex drive, on Feb.16 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ottawa Public Library Auditorium, 120 Metcalfe St. This lecture will be in English.

February 18: The Social Rec Connect Project invites you to a free Family Day Weekend Outdoor Hockey Game on Feb.18 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at McNabb Park Outdoor Rink, Corner of Bronson and Gladstone. Event will include an outdoor hockey game with former Ottawa Senator players Shean Donovan and members of the Ottawa Police Force. Free food and hot chocolate, prizes and entertainment. February 20: Overbrook Family Day on Feb. 20 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Let's celebrate our neighbourhood at the Overbrook Community Centre, 33 Quill St. Skating, games for children of all ages and karaoke music and free hot chocolate.

February 24: Discovery Café, Let's Do Business on Feb. 24 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Dr. Jerry Tomberlin, Dean of the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University, will speak about what business schools are doing to promote entrepreneurship. Discovery Café is a series of public lectures on the last Friday of the month at Blackburn Hamlet Community Church, 2598 Innes Rd. February 25: Irish Social Folk Dance, Feb. 25 at 8:00 p.m., St Margaret Mary Church, 7 Fairbairn St. For singles and couples of all ages, all dances are easy to learn and will be taught. Live music by Ottawa Ceili Band, admission by donation (recommended $7), includes free munchies/desserts, tea, door prizes. March 28: Friends of the Farm - On the Road Again. Travel to Upper Canada Playhouse, Morrisburg, for a matinee performance of Norm Foster's The Foursome, followed by dinner at the Legion.
