Live Music

- Help support our troops, our veterans and our legions by coming out to enjoy live music every Saturday and Sunday at the Eastview Royal Canadian Legion Branch #462 at 294 Cyr Street. Rounding out the month, The Classics perform from 7 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, and again from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 28. Call 613-722-5403 for more information.

- Glebe St. James United Church, 650 Lyon Street at First Avenue, will be hosting several concerts this month as part of their Concerts-in-The-Glebe series. The Indigone Trio and Strings will perform on Sunday, February 28, while the church welcomes the Cheng Brothers on cello and piano on Sunday, March 7. Admission is $10, $7 for students and seniors. - Natasha Doyon's "Heros & Heroines" will be on display at the Karsh-Masson Gallery, 136 St. Patrick Street in Lowertown, until Sunday, March 28. - Arteast will be hosting a member's juried exhibition, to celebrate Orléans' 150th anniversary, until Tuesday, March 23 at the Trinity Art Gallery at the Shenkman Arts Centre, 245 Centrum Blvd., in Orléans. - Artist Helene Lacelle's community mail art will be on display at the Starbucks Café, 1124 Bank Street in Old Ottawa South, until Sunday, February 28. Photography

- "InMotion: A Photographic Exhibition Featuring Works by Raymond Aubin and Yannis Souris, will be on display at the Exposure Gallery, 1255 Wellington Street West, until Wednesday, March 3, in the second-floor studio of Thyme and Again. (Curated by Carrie Colton.) The gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. A portion of the proceeds from this exhibit will go towards The Dandelion Dance Company.

- The Ottawa Independent Writers group will hold a Social Networking Workshop on Saturday, March 13, led by writer and editor Murray McGregor and David Shaw of Ottawa's Workplace Institute, who will explain how to use social networking tools like Facebook and Twitter to connect to other writers, research and promote their works.
